Back in the Saddle

The Dart and I got some high altitude training in in Madrid. That's quite a bit of snow up there in the Sierras.

It felt good to get back on the bike today after a week completely off. I rode my TT bike for a little while which I haven't riden in about a year. I have to do a TT in the Iron Horse in 2 weeks so I thought I should ride the bike before the race. Good thing I did since my shifters are trashed.

I then went out on the Marathon MTB which I also haven't riden in quite a while. I knew the first few races would be hardtail courses so I didn't bother riding the fully. Andora and Italy could be rough so I'm getting use to the bike.

Finally, after all that riding I went for a ride with the Durango Devo crew. Those little 14 and under kids rip. They all have tons of skills and go up hill like mountain goats. Needless to say I'm' pretty tired tonight. Tomorrow I have to get my 2nd round medical monitoring blood tests for the UCI. I don't need to to be losing any red blood cells to a blood test after only being back at altitude for a week.

Winston and I have still been hitting the dog park even with all that training.

I wonder what Gullys' doing right now....
