What?
Is everyone that's good on the road a cheater? It seems like it to me. Can you believe more guys went positive today? At least on the MTB there is some skill involved. You might be able to take some kind of crazy kind of EPO but it won't help you ride over rocks, roots, mud or anything else better. That's good for the MTBers.
Why would you want to get into that sport as a kid or get your kid into that sport as a parent? I say bring on the XGames style sports where it's all skill and being crazy rather then taking drugs just to compete. I'm not saying the "extreme sports" don't use drugs but I think they're more pain killers and recreational. They aren't taking some pill so they can do a bigger air or take more limbs off then their peers b/c they aren't their peers, they're their friends and why would you cheat your friend.
Enough blabbing. Rude and I played Pinon Hills today in Farmington. It was perfect, 70 degrees, light wind, sunny and no body out. I was only 3 over for the first 13 holes and managed to to go 8 over on the last 5. Talk about blowing up. I got out on the dirt jump bike today and didn't crash and even jumped a few jumps.
I wonder how sore I'm going to be from hitting the gym today tomorrow.....

I can hear the roadies already, "What, no skill involved in road racing...".
I agree though, in MTBking there's alot more to seperate riders than just strengh and endurance and it hasn't been as tainted as road racing. And yes, there's some skill involved in road racing, but it pales in comparison to MTBking as far as skill requirements.
